يتحدث الكتاب عن مصر العربية.. علاقة ماضيها القديم بحاضرها العربي، وجانب من خصوصيتها ومظاهر انفرادها عن البلدان التي دخلها الإسام، متجسدًا في تراثها وعمارتها، هو موضوع هذا الكتاب «مصريات عربية: ملامح من تراث وآثار مصر » كتابٌ يحاول الكشف عن وجه مصر ووجهتها، بدءًا من سؤال الهوية. وهو رحلة تنطلق من دخول مصر في حوزة الإسام ) 19 ه \ 640 م - 21 ه \ 642 م(، إلى مطلع الألفية الثالثة بحثًا عن خيطٍ ناظم لهذه العلاقة الراسخة بين عروبة مصر وحضارتها ؛ حيث صارت مصر بقلبٍ عربي وروح إسامية وعقلٍ يحتضن مختلف الثقافات والحضارات والديانات التي مرت واختلط فيه الشعبي بالديني، وامتزج الثقافي بالحضاري، حتى صار الحجر في مصر تاريخًا والنقش مجدًا، والخط لغة عزةٍ وكبرياء.
