現代智人是由外星球飄來的低等生物體，藉著隕石或彗星降落地球而生存下來，然後依據達爾文的演化論，經過幾十億年演化成為靈長類的「裸猿」，後來在幾萬年前地球第四冰河期瀕臨滅絕的時刻，承蒙外星球來的創造神賦與「天賦本性」，克服惡劣環境，才成為有智慧的現代人，稱霸地球，發展至今。達爾文發表物競天擇的「演化論」，為生物演化建立堅實的基礎，現在科學家已經確認；但是當時達爾文還說：「只有人類，怎麼都不可能用演化論來說明。」至今一些人仍然深信「創造論」。本書的主軸就是在解說人類的來源和演化，採用科普的常規綜述，超越世人的眼光，以科學的立場、哲學方法和事實驗證來闡明現代人來源的真相，應包含演化論和創造論兩者。人類的本性有兩種：天賦本性和動物本性；發覺人類特有的天賦本性，含有智慧和覺悟兩種「本能」。人類「智能」的提高，倘若沒有「覺能」的配合，易生亂象，因此呼籲政府改進教育方法，實施對學生的「啟發覺能教育計畫」，培養學生有完整的品格，以解除人類可能發生自我毀滅的危機，達到「昇平之世」。
