Description
This book deals with topics that could be considered "burning" in the management of knowledge about Cuban rock art. These topics are treated here as theoretical and methodological problems susceptible to criticism and academic questioning. These lines analyze, from a historical materialist conception, the limitations in the use of certain tools in the investigation of rock art in Cuba, as well as the results and conclusions that have been reached since its application. If one of the most important reasons for our activity is the construction of a historical and social knowledge, it is essential to manage, from an analytical and critical view, the implementation of these tools and the tendencies of interpretation and explanation that have been predominant in the studies of rock art.
