活道聖經教導課程系列：五小卷（研習本）

「活道」系列課程從結合經文的認知和反省入手，讓學員通過深入的閱讀和回答課文所提供的問題，來清楚地理解經文內容及其寫作處境，並藉反思開放心靈，讓神的話語轉化思想和態度，在所處的環境中實踐經文的教導，見證神對人的恩典和大愛。

按照希伯來聖經的編排（它與基督教聖經的編排不同），五小卷位於正典的第三部分「聖卷」中，這五卷相對較短的著作緊貼在箴言之後，包括路得記、雅歌、傳道書、哀歌和以斯帖記。猶太人會在特定的節期在會堂裡誦讀這五卷書——逾越節讀雅歌，五旬節讀路得記，住棚節讀傳道書，亞比月九日記念聖殿被毀時讀哀歌，以及在普珥節讀以斯帖記。由於古時的猶太人在禮拜儀節間以羊皮紙書卷誦讀經文，到今天他們讀以斯帖記時仍沿用這種做法，致令這五個經卷被稱為megillot ，即希伯來語的「書卷」。

除了在猶太人的禮拜儀節中誦讀之外，這五卷書的內容幾乎沒有什麼共同點。雖然雅歌和哀歌的形式是詩歌體裁，路得記和以斯帖記是以女性為主角的故事，這兩個組別的著作氛圍和目的，卻有鮮明的對比。至於傳道書卻是希伯來智慧運動的產物，所表現的是希伯來聖經中最獨特的智慧觀點。
