A new collection of more recent poems I wish to publish.
April Showers: A Collection of Poems Following the Death of Her Daughter
It speaks about constantly choosing what's best for you, above everything else. This collection contains poems mostly written as part of National Poetry Month.
April Showers was written during National Poetry Month of 2013, in which one poet wrote at least one poem a day that captured everything she read, saw and experienced in verse, as well as celebrating April's special days.
"The seeds on the path The seeds on Rocky Ground The seeds among thorns The seeds on good soil A collection of poems written and heard in April."
These poems will reestablish the ordinary. They will make you look at the Spring garden differently--you will begin to see April Showers as April Powers. This is not poetic optimism. This is poetic justice.
My hope is that the reader will glean what they need from the book to achieve a better quality of life.
These poems were written in 2018, for National Poetry Writing Month, which also happened to occur during National Poetry Month.
