Is your child attending school online? Are they easily distracted or struggling to stay on task? Do you as a parent or your child need help to organize, monitor and track schoolwork? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the right book for you. When Covid-19 appeared in the United States around February 2020 many schools responded by closing facilities then requiring students to do schoolwork at home. The schools did their best by providing online learning and student portals. However, what schools could not do was provide clear guidance to parents about how to organize and manage their child's schoolwork at home. As the parent of a student, along with thousands of other parents, I didn't know where to begin! To overcome the problem, my son and I used Agile management techniques to develop this "low-tech, high touch" system for making online schooling easier and more efficient to manage. For a moment, think about schooling as a process of acquiring knowledge. The assignments are the inputs, the schoolwork is the activity and completed assignment is the output. The Schoolwork Success System described in this book is based on the same type of system that's been used for decades all over the world to manage knowledge work - software development. This system is a tried, tested and proven approach for planning and facilitating school "workflow" in a simple, straight-forward and hands-on way. The Schoolwork Success System will save you time, reduce confusion and increase clarity. The system helps parents and students: *Understand schoolwork priorities *Become more organized *Accurately track achievements *Increase student accountability *Remain aware of schoolwork progress and any challenges or missing assignments; and *Improve communication among parent and student. Whether your student gets straight A's or struggles with a disability, this system will work for them.
