Description
Cinlao and Tsetungo, two passengers of the ill fated flight Qantas 06 from Melbourne to Bangkok, take centre stage in the rice fields of Cambodia. Cinlao speaks about Confucianism while Tsetungo speaks about Taoism and other oriental philosophies. Attention is then drawn to illness and in particular to a tropical disease: schistosomiasi. The words have often double meaning. When wealth is concentrated in the hands of few people, the society as a whole suffers. The economist Adam Smith is mentioned in regard to the question of who should benefit from the labour done. Memorio, another passenger narrates the events the brought the Khmer Rouge to power in Cambodia and he also the narrates the atrocities committed during that time.
