Dans l’esprit et la lettre des Objectifs de développement durable adoptés en 2015, nous devons mettre en oeuvre de nouvelles méthodes et suivre de nouvelles trajectoires afin de transcrire dans les faits une triple avancée économique, sociale et environnementale. C’est dans cette logique que l’Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable a décidé de remettre en perspective l’évaluation environnementale et sociale, avec l’implication de 25 États et gouvernements membres volontaires, que nous remercions pour leur engagement. Cet exercice d’introspection jette un regard lucide sur les dispositifs institutionnels, les pratiques et les avancées, mais il se projette aussi et surtout sur les défis majeurs pour renouveler l’évaluation environnementale et sociale et la rendre encore plus performante.
