Cincuenta años después de su primer libro, Más allá del viento, publica en la Colección Cortalaire de la Fundación Jorge Guillén Ya cada día es más de noche, medio centenar de poemas de initimidad elegíaca. A punto de cumplir los ochenta, Badosa se considera "todavía obrero de sencillas palabras". A la hora de definir su poesía, opta por el simbolismo: "Incluso cuando he cultivado el verso satírico he mostrado una vena simbolista", subraya. En la edad en que uno suele ir ya a demasiados entierros de amigos, los versos adquieren cierto aire de postrimerías como los titulados "Si cuando ya no esté, quizás hallas en casa..." o "En mis papeles últimos, tal vez...". Pero el poeta elude la tentación funeraria: "Cuando digo 'yo' no lo hago como los románticos, sino que lo socializo en 'tú' o en 'nosotros'. Aunque mantenga la fe en la vida no eludo la creencia en la muerte. Eso, sin perder mi esperanza como creyente en Dios".
