Francesca Cursi. Nasce il 4 settembre del 1944 a Paese (TV), dove la sua famiglia era sfollata per il bombardamento di Treviso del 7 aprile, da padre avvocato e madre insegnante, è l’ultima di undici fratelli. Compie gli studi a Treviso, diplomandosi all’Istituto Magistrale “Duca degli Abruzzi”. Si laurea all’Università di Padova in Materie Letterarie con una tesi di filosofia estetica su ‘‘Emil Utitz e la Scienza dell’Arte’’ sotto la guida del filosofo Dino Formaggio con cui rimane in amicizia fino alla sua morte avvenuta 2008. Insegna, come docente di lettere, nelle scuole Medie di I e II grado e assolve l’incarico di Preside al Liceo Artistico statale di Treviso, all’istituto Galileo Galilei di Treviso e al Liceo Linguistico Conegliano. Nel 1971 sposa il pittore Ernesto Marchesini, poi docente di pittura all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, e da questa unione nascono due figli: Elisa (musicista, docente e direttrice del Vittorio Veneto Film Festival) e Guido (scultore, docente di discipline plastiche e multimediali). Nel 1975 si diploma con una specializzazione scientifica triennale di Arte Moderna all’Università di Padova con una tesi su ‘‘Walter Gropius e la fondazione del Bauhaus’’, sotto la guida dello storico dell’Arte Umbro Apollonio. In tutti questi anni sviluppa l’attività di giornalismo con collaborazioni legate al settore Arte: segue artisti giovani nel loro debutto e percorso; insegna Italiano e Arte del Novecento nei corsi dell’Arci, all’Università della III età e dell’Università Popolare. Si occupa, come addetto alla comunicazione, di giovani audiolesi e assiste persone in difficoltà e con malattie terminali. Svolge attività di Editor Art, di storico e critico d’Arte con artisti italiani e stranieri in particolare nell’Oasi di Cervara a Quinto di Treviso e a Funzione Arte “Neno Moretti” di Paese (Treviso).
